Was I hailing the internet earlier on today? Everything needs balancing, so here a few remarks about a horrible internet phenomenon: distance.
The net shrinks distance to nothing, it seems. But in reality, you are still as far away from each other as you were before establishing contact. So, if you truly want to be with someone, it gets difficult. Right, it’s reality that bites, but the illusion of closeness created by technology lures you into dreaming the impossible. And don’t get back to me with that adidas slogan “impossible is nothing”. Distance is something very real. Is the net something for dreamers only?
