At work the move started. We are supposed to move out of the house rented so far and into, yeah what? There is nowhere to move into. A provisional tent and container village is to appear out of nothing within the next two weeks. I wonder how this is going to work with the ground frozen solid. But who am I to judge that. I am merely the one who suggests since years not to pick fights with the house owner as long as we can’t come up with sufficient monies for our own building. Not that anyone cares to listen. Anyway, instead of catching up with my regular work I was asked to sift through the company’s file archive today and stipulate what can be thrown out and what needs to be stored. So I spent hours on end in the cellar, packing and choosing and discarding files, plans, pictures, records of events, budgets, bills, drafts, you name it. The history of the organisation I work for presently and numerous associated companies went through my hands and freshened my memory. I am amazed how very much like living organisms companies are and what huge influence – to the benefit of it or against – staff and leaders in their various combinations have on the success and reception by customers and the public of any company. I will keep you posted as this story evolves…
She is moving, Dinky
