I’m happy, I’m feeling’ glad, I’ve got sunshine in a bag…
For various reasons. First I am on holidays which started off just perfect. First day spent like a dream coming true. Lots of snow fell and waking up to brilliant blue skies this morning, I took a walk through winter wonderland, the sun sparkling on maiden mats of puffy white. No snowman building material but powdery. The air clean and crisp. I was close to tears with the pure joy of it. And five minutes ago I received a phonecall learning that my boss got sacked, not me.
…I’m useless, but not for long, the future is coming on. It’s coming on. Finally I’m coming out of my cage…
Tomorrow will be a day full of meetings, but what the heck. In 45 minutes I shall be at the bridge table and on Thursday I will be on a plane to Austria, seeing my family for the first time in two years.
