Tonight at the bridge club I talked to a new member. He is a Nepalese linguist with good command of the German language. But his accent makes it hard for me to understand him. Everthing he says sounds terribly blurred. We tried to discuss our respective views on religion and it took me forever to work out whether he said he was an agnostic or an atheist. Turns out he is an atheist. That makes up for the time invested to find out. Will try and make this guy feel welcome in our community. Not enough atheists around, in my opinion.
