power of music

Am surprised, how amazing the power of music is. Tonight I was on the phone with one of my friends who lives in Switzerland with her family since some 10 years. The chat steered to topics like “the good old times” and the fun we used to have together “when we were young”. As it happenes, a song I used to listen to a lot round about the time my marriage was failing was mentioned by her. I just listened to that song again for the first time in many years. The music brought back vivid memories and flooded me with emotions long forgotten. Obviously I had good reason to avoid listening to it for such a long while. I will be for ever grateful to my friend for her constant support and patience during those difficult years. And, of course, to Annie Lennox for the music.
