I still owe you the outcome of our efforts at the Berlin / Brandenburg Bridge League 09, finishing last Sunday. So, so it was, as far as my team was concerned. We did beat the team I desperately wanted to defeat 109:30 odd imps. And we came in fourth in our group, finally. Sounds fair and well. Considering our abilities, it was ok. Still, I’d have liked to be third or better. No way to beat the winners, but the teams coming in second and third were beatable. Too late now, I’m afraid. Never be sorry, just work harder and play better. At least I got the youngsters to agree that we all should start to practice more regularly. As a team, not just playing individually whenever the opportunity arises. Next big thing is the international bridge week in Berlin end of April. We’ll see how that works…
Oh, and I loved this years results of the regionals. The winner of the regionals gets the opportunity to compete for a spot at the Bundesliga2 Nord level. The winning team – Mrs. Fichte, Mr. Hegener, Mr. Klein, Mr. Napetov, Mr. Schreiber, Mr. Springer – are not only great buddies, they also finally pulled it through against a lot of people who consider themselves much better players.
Lil Rob, The outcome
