Ah, what a day! Do you know those days, when you are occupied with something from early morning till late? In my case it was work and some organizational problem I have to solve. A new rotation of staff roster for the office and service team. This quiz has been on my mind for more than a week now, based upon suggestions coming from the new boss (which of course consist mainly of getting the job done in half the time or else with half the man power, I’m free to choose, here). He relies on getting a plan from someone who knows the inner works of the whole thing, as – on the other hand – he is not prepaired to let quality of service drop even further. As it also happens to be the closing week of the “shake the money tree” project with some 350 odd contracts to close during last week, this week and next week up until July 15th and not to neglect the daily business, I was wired all day today. Sometimes I like to liken myself to a breeding hen. If something more complex comes up, the thing kind of lingers on within me for a week or so. Until – out of nowhere really – a detailed plan evolves. Happened today. It started shaping itself (usually over my cups of coffee in the mornings before taking off to work) maybe four days ago. And every day, when I sat down again, mulling over the possible outcomes and consequences of certain actions introduced, I refined the plan a little. I am confident that – come Saturday, when the new roster is due- I will have it spick and span.
