finally

My friend from way back when and his wife finally arrived on Thursday. Haven’t slept all that much since. As there is someone new to get to know plus my old Buddy to talk to. And wow, a lot of talking has taken place. Accompanied by the odd drink or two in the evenings. My corner pub owner will have a good week on turnover, I guess. And of course, the days are full of sightseeing, shopping and so on. I did squeeze in a little culture on the side. Seemingly I always have to trick people into that. They enjoy it hugely and are thankful afterwards. But are hesitant if one suggests it as a sceduled thing. So I got into the habit of not mentioning my plans until we’re at the venue. Works pretty well. The only thing not keeping up with the pace of what I need / want to show and do, is my energy level. I shall need a brake after this brake.
