I tell you: if I keep going at this pace I shall explode very soon indeed. A little tour throught dinners lately:
Saturday: clear tomato soup, beef rolls stuffed with what-not, italian egg cream topped with ice cream (nice company of friends, food excellently cooked by sweetheart)
Sunday: Pomp, Duck and Circumstance: varieté and five course dinner (including duck, art, music, cabaret, I forgot the the rest of the zillions of calories that evening alone for all the excitement)
Monday: Birthday party of friend with lots of home cooked specialities, excellent finger food and so on
Tuesday: Goose, dumplings, red cabbage at official dinner with board and committee
Not to speak of the assorted spirits one has to consume to be able to digest all that food. And the wine one needs to have in order to drown ones bad concience. For yet another day without any fresh air or sports. Instead plenty of culinary sins. Typical for the weeks running up to Christmas. And then the horror really starts…
