If I consider the music I have listened to this year, two names predominate: Son of Dave and Mark Lanegan. Best music video I have seen this year: Son of Dave, Ain’t going to Niketown. Best voice discovered in ’09: Mark Lanegan. Sure, there were lots of other great tracks, old and new. Queen Bee from Taj Mahal, for instance. Morcheeba, Touch and Go,Kreisky, Jamie T. Ah, I could just go on and on. But to keep this review short: I have had one of the best years in my life and music made it even better. Hope, this will continue for a while. I will refrain from posting stuff I have already had on my blog. Instead, here’s a nice one from Son of Dave: Old times were good times. Just keep in mind that now is going to be old time pretty soon. Best to enjoy it. Happy new year, everybody.
