I owe you at least a couple of lines about my short two and a half days in Vienna. The city itself a new experience to me as I saw it through the eyes of my sweetheart. Who hasn’t been there in more than forty years and was duly impressed. Maybe a little dent into his overall aversion against Austria and its inhabitants has been made. As we have met rather kind specimen. He asked for the full tourist treatment, bringing a list of things he wanted to do and see. No need to mention that there was an overdose of sights and Schiele to look at. And plenty of Fritattensuppe, Gulyasch, Sachertorte and so on. The only thing we didn’t have, surprisingly, was the Wiener Schnitzel. Anyways, I am happy that we travel well together. And that he seems to have had a great time, judging by his reports to friends.
