Just watched a quite funny magazine called QUER on 3sat TV. The feature about Bavaria and its tradition of erecting maypoles, the dangers thereof and associated insurance issues is really funny. Only in Germany authorised experts on maypoles can exist. Proudly rattling off all DIN standards which must be met when erecting the pole. Given, the first bit about the twofaced Bishop is a bit boring, but it gets better thereafter with a report about the winners of the vulcano desaster, followed by said maypole report.
