As Mark Knopflers recent tour is called “Get lucky” I can add up last nights experience with: “I got lucky”. He sounded great. I always thought the sound of his guitar play on the records can not be reproduced live. It can. It was even better live than on record. The only thing about his music is that some tracks are just a tad too long. He likes the symphonic style. Which in my opinion seldom goes well with rock music. Made some of the pieces played a little boring. But that is not new with Knopfler. Apart from that: great concert, even if he had to sit through it due to a sore back. Age gets us all…
