Sunday matinée

existatai gar pant’ ap’ allêlôn dikha. Now, I don’t understand Greek at all but trust the translation of this quote from Euripide’s Heracles: “for all things change, making way for each other”. Should that not read: for all things end, making way for each other? And in the process, is it not us that change? As long as it isn’t our own end.
I don’t know. The only thing I know and have been contemplating last evening, is, that, although experts say that humans can’t really change much after reaching adult age, the way one perceives the world does change profoundly once one understands some things are irrecoverable.
