Ljuba Podgorny took the liberty to die. There wasn’t much liberty left for her to take. As her cancer of the colon turned into pancreatic cancer. For the opportunity to properly say good bye to friends and family she took the hardship of chemotherapy on once, but that was where she drew a line. To take her leave. I salute this woman. She was creative. Stubborn. Good looking. Exuberant. Yes, exuberant is a good term. A pity our lives intermingled in a way that banned friendship. My respect she always had. And many a time I regretted that I wasn’t in a position to get to know her better. Let her work stand for what I have missed. I took enough from her as it were, already. Fare well, Ljuba.
