As the weather was horrible today, I decided to start to knit. I still cannot believe it myself. But somehow I felt like a snug day in, lots of tea and knitting. So I started out on a pair of woollen socks. It has been roughly thirty years now, that I knitted last. And it was just a chore we had to do for school. But my mom gave me and my husband a pair of hand knitted socks each for a wedding present. I loved the socks, and as they fell apart – years after the marriage did, actually – I asked her for replacement. So every year, I would come home from my yearly visit to Austria with a new pair. And last winter, I also asked her for a bigger pair. For my sweetheart. And he really likes them. So why not make him another pair for Christmas. I am not going as far as to really believe that I will finish what I started today. But one never knows. Actually, I had to look up how to do it on the internet. I could not remember exactly, how to go about the job. Anyways, I made good progress. But I found my place awfully quiet and decided to put the radio on. Another thing I hadn’t done in ages. Deutschlandradio entertained me all afternoon. And I heard of Kyrie Kristmanson for the first time. Radio educates at times.
Song X, Kyrie Kristmanson
