As I ran out of selfmade therapies today, I decided to best put up with what was on offer professionally. Man does not live by painkillers alone… So I went through the motions and had my fair share of waiting, sitting, leaning, almost crawling until some expert was ready to see me. At 18:00 that was. I ventured out around lunchtime. To give you a perspective on time consumed. And now I’m in it for good. No lumbago, a slipped disc, it seems. Am expected to be back there tomorrow, if pain recurs, otherwise at the latest on Monday morning. I haven’t been off work sick during the last eleven or so years. Not as long as I work where I work now, anyways. And I’m there since 1999. But at least I got my shot. Two, to be precise. Plus a drip-feeding. So right now I feel like a gazelle, all the while avoiding to think of what exactly happens under all the layers of drugs dampening down my sentience. Nice to be high for a while. Slightly nauseated, but happy…
