Austria vs. Germany. Football again, this time in Vienna at the Happel arena, formerly known as Hannapi arena. After the first half – in which Austria faired quite well, considering everything – the bloody typical ocurred: Germany scored a lucky goal in the last minute (Gomez making peace wiht Vienna). Am eager to find out, how high the losses will be at the end of the game.
It’s hard to watch it in Berlin, what with my sweetheart being present. Am caught between a rock and a hard place, so to speak.

I’ll join in on the monday morning coach meeting: your team was x-tremly lucky with that last minute goal. 1:1 would have been just as nice and we still would have a slight chance for qualifying after all. But what can one do? We’re out.
NBA finals? Who won? Am completely out of Basketball. Funny, used to be my favourite game at school.

the 3rd game is set for today 8 ET, every thing is still pretty open (1-1 win each), guess they re going the full distance of 5 games. dallas lost the 1st game & novitzki’s finger on his left hand got injured. wayne & lebron james are amazing to watch. looks like this ‘d be Jason kidddddds last big brawl seeig how he is 38ish already. shaq anounced to retire. what else is new? 4 minutes or maybe 6 minutes in the 4th quarter prior to end miami had a 15 point lead. still got beaten by “unselfish” gameplay on the mavericks part.
some crowd contact when players on both sides tilted into the audience. some showmanship I enjoyed ^^ & dunking as well.
volkswagen commercials in between quarters selling cars with the “slogan” Das Auto. ^^ Instead of saying //das// they got some smoothtalking impression of it, “‘Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaz, Ich liebe Jaaaaaaaaaaz” “Däääs AUTTo” and I wouldnt be the least bit surprised if next they tailcoat it like this:

watched a live stream of the gamw after I read your post and cought about 30 minutes of it, having vowed never to watch football again if it wasnt commented on by G.Netzer w/ his wonderfully idiosyncratic, in part circular-logic-heavy spurts of wisdom, I was bored – it wasnt their finest hour.
looks like your fears were well founded & I was almost proud of your prognosis being right on, moreso than the team moving on. ^^ eerie feeling though—
because there was no netzer around I looked elsewhere for entertainment watched the NBA finals 1st & 2nd game (dallas vs. miami) and was rewarded when nowitzki’s armpit dove into a dudes face while dirk was busy high fiving his team 4 getting a 3 point shot in 30sec before the end. now at that point the camera was running in slow motion and some assistant coach got the best of nowitzkis 4th quarter ^^
dunno why I felt the need to share this, please jot it down as sports related ramblings of a monday morning coach _:lalala:
