Today a little excursion into time and styles. How logical the developement seems. Out of the overladen baroque, the follies of classicism and historism, including the Wilhelminian time followed by stuffy Biedermeier, something revolutionary started. Art Nouveau, Vienna being its very center. But also Glasgow. Next step was Bauhaus, clearing the way for Pop Art. It seems as if the Wiener Werkstätte initiated the Rolling Stones. In a way. On the other hand, take Bauhaus to the extreme and you get Berlin-Marzahn. What next? Much indicates, there is a kind of Neo-Biedermeier on the way, walking suburbia anywhere. Albeit without any style at all. Too bad.
