You might remember that I hurt my finger last week. It’s a minor thing really, but a big steel door slammed on it at the nailbed. Three days it took, until the entire fingertip bled in, the haematoma colouring the nail black. Making me look like ET wanting to phone home, what with the swelling growing every day. Never mind I tried to punctuate the nail to relief the blood pressure a little. Didn’t work, nothing came out. Maybe the holes weren’t big enough. But it was a rather sore affair digging away and my stomach revolted, making me nearly faint. So this operation failed. But not tonight. As the haematoma grew big enough to lift the nail a little, I succeeded to bore a hole between nail and flesh, thus opening a gap to have blood flow out. Big relief, this is. The swelling receeded immediately. Having wrapped the finger in clean linnen, I feel much better already.

The way we learn about our bodies & how aparent fixes seem to be, once a level of pain is reached, huh? ^^
my toe, struck around the same time, was darkest blue but since it didnt smell or hurt much after the initial pain, i left it be & well, it is much better, cleared up, bathed & still seperation anxiety, i wont push & it wont budge.
^^ got lucky this time, funny though, how a slight modification to the exterior warpes the minds perspective, regarding the neccessity of left over equal parts on other digits ^^
I fear, i ve said – too much already 😛
glad you re better though. 😉

during the first week, this was my strategy too: I don’t push if you won’t hurt. My finger never held his part of the deal up, though. So I had to put an end to the throbbing, somehow. Glad, your toe is better, too…
