As I’ve been busy with harvesting and garden work this week, Albin Egger-Lienz comes to mind. An Austrian painter, who shows the hardships of rural, alpine life like no other, I think. I have always loved his work.

they are. He also did very touching work about the atrocities of war. I think he was from Tirol.
