Please meet Daria Bernadeta Novotna. The 45 year old Czech artist, who also worked as a translator for the European Union for a while, studied art in Brno (CZ) and Leeds (GB). She says about herself:
“Main source of my inspiration is the surrounding I know well – the city I live in, the nature I go for a walk, holidays at the sea and the people there…”
I like her way of looking at things. And her painting “winter” describes the recent winter here in Berlin just perfectly…. Just as well, there are some beach pictures, too.

I just love “waiting for the next train” – think it is brilliant.

Love the architectural themes and the bright spots of color in each painting. Her style captures the spirit of the moment as well as the physical objects. 🙂
