Yeah! Why is everyone suddenly gluten-allergic? Maybe it’s that our bodies can’t handle so much white flour, our intestines are glued together like wallpaper paste. Or we’re sensitive to the pesticides used to grow the wheat–that’s more likely, since they’re poisons. Thank heavens the elevator shoes have gone out of fashion.

I am prone to believe, that the kids these days are just no longer exposed to enough other kids, animals, bakteria and dirt stuff, so they become allergic and vulnerable to everything. Plus your argument about chemical over- and misuse in food processing is also valid. Together, it makes for pale, sneezing allergics everywhere.
