This fine Sunday I’d like to introduce Lesya Ros, an Ukrainian artist from Lviv (in German this is Lemberg). She studied Ceramic Arts in her hometown, which is still rich with history from its Austrian-Hungerian Empire past. Lviv is close to the now Polish border. Actually, I wanted to go visit former Königsberg and Lemberg for a long time. But due to the recent political situation I shy back to go to this part of the world, thanks to noone, Mr. Putin.
But back to this post and Mrs. Ros. She has a distinguished style. What looks just like various spaces of colour on first glances pieces itself together to form, what the artist intents to depict: a landscape, plant or manmade place. She uses bold strokes of brush and pallet knife to capture her view of the world. I like it a lot. Hope, you do, too.

I like the landscapes best, her use of color and texture, and her take on light, shadow, reflections in the water. 🙂
