It came as a surprise to me, noticing I never mentioned Muntean/Rosenblum here on this platform. To any self-respecting Austrian art lover, this two names should be household names. What with their looong trailing list of exhibitions and their world-wide fame. If one likes figurative, contemporary painting, there is no overlooking these two.
Markus Muntean, born in Graz, Austria and his Partner Adi Rosenblum from TelAviv, Israel, studied arts at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Vienna end of the Eighties. Where they later held a professorship for contextual painting from 1999 to 2005. Museums like MOMA, MUSAC and the Tate Britain showed their art.
So – no idea, why I never mentioned them here. Maybe I thought, everyone would know their body of work, anyways. Well, some of you might not – so here we go: Muntean Rosenblum today, tada!

I am with you: the last is also my favourite

A real talent for figure drawing, esp the gangly slouchiness of teenagers. I especially liked the last one, along with the caption. 🙂
