Now I dare to start to believe, that the wicked witch might be dead. Whereas I am still not entirely sure it is completely dead, at least it is gone for the time being. And that’s a fact. I saw it take off. After a meek attempt to enthuse masses that simply didn’t turn up to say good bye at the airport in Washington yesterday. Whom I did see standing out in the sorry lot of outgoing adminstrators lining the gangway, was this spokes-person first airing the incredible phrase “alternative facts” on an official press conference in the WH. This is worth a seperate entry in Merriam Webster and wikipedia alike, I think. Section: no go!
Words. What a difference a day makes… Thinking of the sparkling and hopeful use, a certain Amanda Gorman made of words. There is hope…

Amanda Gorman was fantastic, and wise beyond her years. I cried three times during the inauguration–when Kamala Harris was sworn in by Sonia Sotomayor, when Jennifer Lopez sang This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land, and when Amanda read her poem. 🙂
