A common nuisance: potholes on the roads. Around this time of year, I have to drive the roughly 8 kms to work carefully, because the frost or whatever causes them, opens up new ones every day. And patched up holes from last year reopen.
Chicago based artist Jim Bachor came up with a brilliant solution. He filled the city’s many potholes with mosaics. First the decor was just numbers, to point out to the city officials just how many of them are there. Later he made them into little, lasting pieces of street art. What a great idea!
