It has been a VERY long time, since April last behaved as much like April is supposed to behave. I think, it was back in my childhood days. I do recall, that there were days with six or seven types of weather during just one day – much like what is normal for most British people on an everyday base. But for Continentals, this kind of erratic weather is called April-weather and reserved for this time of year.
This year, April sticks to every cliché ever heard of it. Cold, warm, windy, very cloudy, then sunny. Rain and hail in short intervalls, followed by bright sunshine shortly after. It is a roller-coaster of sorts and I am surprised, my plants take it all into their static stride.
Ohio has those kind of April days too… none lately, but always possible. Love your resilient plants. 🙂

If you like that sort of weather, would you like to visit me in Oklahoma? 365 days a year our motto is: If you don’t like the weather in Oklahoma, stick around.
