fallen, yet strong

On one of my walks I passed this fallen willow. It just lay there on the ground. And yet the foliage was of a dense green.

It was very alive and still an impressive sight. One could actually duck down and get into it. Once inside the tree, it became visible, that it has re-connected to the ground on various places, thus drawing water and supplements enough to keep going. Amazing sight.

    1. I thought the same. I love willows, too. Especially the hangig variety. Ma granddad had one in front of his house and it was one of my favourite hiding places đŸ™‚ Actually, we have a lot in common. Nice to get to know you better…
