I passed a meadow recently and noticed many grayish-white dots. It looked unfamiliar – quite like spiderwebs used to wrap something in small parcels attached to grass. I have never seen something even faintly like this before, so I took a closer look.
Just to find, that they were actually web-wrapped parcels. Full with eggs. Or tiny insects. Surprisingly, they looked like different animals – some like lice, some like little flies. And the third looked like one huge egg. I have no idea, what kind of critters these are. And why they were in this one meadow. Many, many, many of them. If they turn out to be stinging or otherwise harmful, we would be in for quite a plague, with so many young ones on the breed…
If you find out what they are, please post. I am going to try and follow you. Hal

Let’s hope it’s a normal phenomenon that is not hazardous to humans. We could do without another plague. đŸ™‚

Ah, I don’t think so. Maybe a nuisance, but not a hazard. Not a bigger hazard than mankind is to itself, is my wild guess…
