This Sunday, I want to introduce Vasily Belikov to you. A Russian painter from Penza, Russia. This is a city roughly 650 km southeast of Moscow.
His paintings speak of a rural life, that seems lost around here. But reminds me of my early childhood. Of my grandparents place.
Looks, like this world is fading away fast and I am glad, someone produces images to keep the memory alive. And beautiful ones, too.








I like his Impressionistic style and how he uses the texture as well as the color of the paint. Those blazing oranges and yellows are gorgeous. 🙂
