János Huszti, born 1975 in Esztergom, Hungary and now based in Budapest, got his Fine Arts diploma at the University of Pécs. He spent some time in Australia on a residency program as well as a semester at the University of Hertfortshire in Hatfield, England on a study scholarship. He was searching for answers to the ultimate question Can things be deprived of their origins?”, when he did a series of portrait paintings of old photographs, once taken in a prison.
I like his style a lot, on his “prison series” as well as with his more recent work.
