Sunny! At long last. And yours truly is off work for the entire weekend with lots of time to enjoy it.
To be honest, the sun already came out on Tuesday here in Berlin, but I had to work. It was very crowded on the golf course after this winter’s long dark spell. So I was stuck in my office most of the time, not noticing much of the nice weather.
But today is my day. The forecast is set on full spring.
Garden season officially starts today. This got me so excited, that I am already up and awake at 05:30 in the morning. Everything is still pitch black out there. It’s three and a half hours to go until my garden dealer opens his gates to rake in all the money I am going to throw at him.
I have to catch up with Mr. Neighbour, who used this week to bring his patch up to scratch, all looking nice already. Ahhh, those pensioners. I am under pressure here….. just kidding.
I will be happy to just tidy up a bit, get the residues of last fall and winter dealt with. Prepare the ground and cut back the roses and apple trees. And get the terrace furnished again, so one can sit outside and enjoy spring.

Wow, that’s a long to-do list! 227 is right, anything can happen weather-wise. It has snowed here four times in the past two weeks, with temps hitting the 50’s and 60’s in between. Anyway, enjoy your sunshine and have fun. 🙂

We had such a day – and then the rain and snow and wind came back again. “April is the cruelest month” said TS Eliot. This year he is right. Even I – Blackthumb (!) – am dying for the chance to start gardening.

I am sorry, I thought down at your place it must already be full spring. My sister told me yesterday, it turned nice. Can’t be too long until the sun crawls south from her place.
